Biomass Impact
Biomass is a kind of new energy and is being explored by many organizations as a possible renewable resource. This method takes organic matter and turns it into energy. However, the actual usefulness of this method is up for debate. Some argue that diverting food supplies to this could raise food prices, and the output of energy isn't worth the energy put in. Some say it’s a better way to deal with food waste. Nonetheless, it’s a new source of energy.
Nucular Impact
Nuclear energy is the future of energy production. It produces more power than any other source and at a fraction of the material cost. Its greatest challenge is its struggle to culturally distance itself from the devastating disasters of the past. With constant innovation, it has become more efficient and safer than ever before.
Hydroelectric, Solar, and Wind Impact
Renewables resources are an important part of future energy production. They largely consist of solarpower, windpower, and hydropower, all of which come from natural and renewable sources of energy such as flowing water or the Sun. However, the implementation can cause problems for the habitats and ecosystems of the natural wildlife that live there.
Fossel Fuel Impact
The most common fuel source in Virginia is fossil fuels. They have been used for hundreds of years, and a lot of infrastructure has been built to extract, transport, and use them. However, fossil fuels are also one of the most environmentally devastating. They release harmful chemicals and gases into the atmosphere that kill wildlife, affect air quality, and weaken the ozone layer. The infrastructure needed to produce fossil fuels also kills environments and ecosystems.
